January 2021

Posted on 28th December, 2020

Happy New Year to all of those that are reading. Whilst we may have thought that 2020 was the year of the optometrist/optician, I can safely say I wish never to be reminded of the year just gone (so if we could all agree to refer to 20/20 vision as 6/6 I'd be grateful!)

Joking aside, I wish everyone has a much better year and we can regroup, rebuild and advance our profession and our businesses.  To help with January 2021, please find below the latest content, available to download without a watermark/branding completely free of charge. These too have been added to the main content library.

APPOINTMENTS ONLY - JANUARY

Appointment Only - January

As the lockdown restrictions have been replaced now with a tiered system - including most of the UK still being in some form of lockdown situation - I have created an "Appointment Only" for January. This theme is likely to continue into the new year.

DON'T SQUASH YOUR EYES

Don't Squash Your Eyes

Whilst we may not be returning to indoor sports in the immediate future, many will be looking to take up a new year resolution - possibly to be more active. Use this image to talk about the dangers of racquet sports - especially squash - which are famously related to severe eye injuries, such as orbital floor blow-out fractures. You can also add how patients can protect their eyes and how you can supply sports goggles.

NEVER TOO YOUNG FOR AN EYE TEST

Never Too Young For An Eye Test

Use this image to talk about your paediatric services and how you can test eyes from a very young age. I have included a blue background and dummy/pacifier in the main content library so that you can choose which one you prefer.

DISTORTED VISION?

Distorted Vision?

Distorted vision is considered an urgent need for an eye examination and should not be left without thorough investigation. Use this striking post to prompt discussion regarding visual distortion and what patients must do. In height of lockdowns and COVID-19 restrictions, patients may choose to not get things checked out - so talk about symptoms to be aware of and inform them of your urgent eye care schemes.

To download the image, right click on the image and select "Save As" or follow this link: DISTORTED VISION and then right click and select "Save As". The latter will be in the full 1080 resolution.

That concludes the January 2021 update. I hope some or all of these images come in handy in your social media campaigns and that you, your practice and all connected to you have a better year ahead.

Until February, stay safe and take care!

Jason
